Challenges

-Dakkota Integrated Systems was dissatisfied with the level of service and the pricing structure offered by Magid Glove, leading to operational inefficiencies and increased costs.

-Issues with order fulfillment, resulting in out-of-stock situations and unreliable access to essential PPE supplies.

-The inefficiencies in PPE supply and the quality of the safety equipment could have negatively impacted production and overall operational efficiency.

-Difficulty keeping track of inventory and ordering their required PPE.

-High costs associated with the PPE vending program under Magid Glove's management.

The Safety Source PPE Vending Solution

Dakkota had a PPE vending program with Magid Glove at their Kettering and Hazel Park locations but was not happy with their level of service and price structure from Magid. In 2024 The Safety Source introduced a turnkey PPE vending solution that reduced Dakotta’s pricing per unit by 14% and improved the order fulfillment to make sure there were no out of stocks and the machines were consistently full of PPE supplies needed to protect their work force. While conducting a glove survey The Safety Source also introduced cut resistant gloves that performed better, lasted longer and had greater worker acceptance – all of this improved production, quality and safety.

Management at Dakkota compared The Safety Source PPE Vending Program to:
-Magid Glove
-Fastenal
-Grainger
-Cintas

And after comparing services levels, testimonials, pricing and quality of PPE supplies Dakkota awarded the contract to The Safety Source.
