The Interlake Mecalux 3141204859E144A Blue Bolted Pallet Rack Tear Drop Add-on is a heavy-duty, selective starter unit designed to expand storage capacity in warehouse environments. This kit includes two upright frames and two pairs of shelf beams, forming a ready-to-install bolted rack that provides direct access to each pallet for efficient inventory management. The tear-drop uprights and high-strength steel components support large loads and are finished with a cataphoresis coating and a baked enamel/powder finish to resist everyday wear and corrosion.
Key construction features include tear-drop perforations on the upright face for precise 2-inch beam adjustments, and orange beams with piston-lock connections that automatically seat and lock to the frame, reducing the risk of beam displacement. The system is supplied as a ready-to-assemble starter unit and is compatible with additional Interlake Mecalux racking (sold separately) to extend reach as storage needs grow. Be mindful that this item is not stocked in all warehouses, so processing times and availability may vary; if you have a firm delivery date, please inquire before placing your order and note that expedited shipping or cancellation may be limited.
The kit is designed for non-seismic areas and emphasizes straightforward assembly, with standard footplates for anchoring. Its RMI certification indicates compliance with industry rack standards, supporting reliable, modular storage that can be tailored to accommodate wide product mixes. When planning installation, consider beam spacing and the 1-5/8 inch step in the orange beams to determine compatibility with wire decking and other accessories you may add later.
