The Interlake Mecalux 3141204859E144S Blue Bolted Pallet Rack Tear Drop Starter is a pre-configured storage solution designed for versatile, open access pallet handling in demanding warehousing environments. This starter unit bundles two upright frames with two pairs of shelf beams, providing immediate, ready-to-assemble storage that accommodates a standard pallet flow. The mix of blue uprights and orange beams signals the tear-drop bolt-and-wastage style, with components built to support selective access inventory and straightforward adjustments as needs shift.
Constructed from high-strength steel, the uprights feature tear-drop perforations that allow shelf positions to be adjusted in 2-inch increments, enabling scalable configurations for varying product sizes. The orange beams use a piston-lock connection system that locks frame-to-beam securely, helping prevent accidental disengagement and tampering while simplifying assembly. The unit benefits from a cataphoresis electro-chemical coating process, which provides corrosion resistance and uniform protection across all surfaces exposed to typical warehouse wear and environmental exposure. The starter’s design includes standard pre-punched footplates for anchoring, supporting stable installation on concrete substrates.
This starter is sized for 144 inches of beam width, 48 inches of depth, and 120 inches of height, with a noted beam capacity and shelf rating that align with common medium-to-heavy duty pallet storage needs. It is important to verify compatibility with additional Interlake Mecalux racking components if expanding beyond the starter, and to confirm project timelines since stock status may vary as this item is not always available in warehouse inventory. The unit has RMI certification, underscoring industry recognition of its engineering standards.
