The Green Creative 98335 is a 4-foot LED T8 tube designed for use in existing linear configurations with an external driver. This 14-watt lamp delivers a 4000 Kelvin color temperature and up to 146 lumens per watt, aiming to provide bright, neutral-white illumination for indoor general lighting applications. It requires an external driver and bypasses the ballast, which helps minimize compatibility issues and reduces ongoing maintenance costs in compatible fixtures. The tube is listed for damp locations and is suitable for open, covered, or enclosed fixtures, expanding where it can be installed within a facility.
Key features include a 160-degree beam angle and a compatibility note indicating it works with Green Creative external drivers. The product uses a G13 base and is designed for Type C external driver operation, with 0-10V dimming support for flexibility in lighting control. The unit ships in cases of 25 and carries a five-year warranty, reflecting its acceptability for commercial, architectural, and retrofit installations where external-driver configurations are used. Length and diameter measurements correspond to a 4-foot tube and standard T8 form factor, aiding in fixture selection and retrofit planning.
When planning installation, verify that your ballast has been bypassed and that an appropriate external driver is deployed, as this lamp relies on external power management rather than conventional ballast operation. The stated efficiency and color temperature can influence room ambience and energy usage in general lighting schemes, especially in spaces requiring consistent, cooler white illumination. For compatibility, ensure your fixture supports Green Creative 98259 or other Green Creative external-driver configurations and that mounting and electrical connections align with a G13 lampholder and the specified length.
