This Green Creative 98327 is a 2-foot LED T8 tube designed for use in indoor general lighting with an external driver. It operates as a Type C LED tube, meaning the driver is separate from the lamp and must be used to energize the tube. With a 4000 K color temperature, it provides a neutral daylight-like white light suitable for a variety of interior spaces. The tube is intended for fixtures that are open, covered, or enclosed, offering flexibility in installation environments where ballast-free operation is desired to reduce maintenance concerns and compatibility issues.
Constructed for compatibility with Green Creative’s 98259 external driver, this lamp requires a parallel-output driver configuration and does not rely on a ballast to begin operation. The unit features a 160-degree beam spread and is rated for damp locations, making it appropriate for many indoor settings. Its electrical footprint is 9 watts, and it is UL and DLC listed, which can support reliability and potential utility program eligibility. The tube length is 23.75 inches with a 1.13-inch diameter, and it weighs about 0.26 pounds per lamp. It uses a G13 base and supports 0-10V dimming, enabling lighting control options in compliant installations. The packaging is a case of 25 lamps, satisfying multi-lamp deployment needs in commercial spaces.
When planning a retrofit or new installation, verify that the fixture is compatible with external-driver Type C LED tubes and that the selected driver is configured for parallel operation. Consider the 4000 K color temperature and 158 LPW efficacy to estimate running costs and light quality for work environments where color rendering and visibility are important. Maintenance considerations include ensuring the external driver is properly wired and that the fixture enclosure and wiring meet damp-location requirements. The 5-year warranty provides a baseline of expected reliability under typical commercial-use conditions.
