The Gerson 020803G Tack Cloth is a high-efficiency surface-prep accessory designed to prepare work surfaces by capturing dust, dirt, and fine particulates at the point of application. With a 24x20 mesh size, this cloth offers medium to high tack, aiding debris removal while minimizing lint or residue left behind. The Gold Formula standard is compatible with a wide range of coatings, including waterborne finishes, making it suitable for automotive, woodworking, and general industrial applications where clean surfaces are essential for coating quality.
Constructed to support routine, bulk-use environments, this tack cloth is available in multiple substrate options to fit different requirements: knit polyester, non-woven, and cotton gauze—each offering distinct handling and debris-capture behavior. The Gold Formula is the core specification for this product, with White and Orange variants available by special order, enabling some customization to project needs without sacrificing the standard’s performance profile.
Practical use considerations include selecting the appropriate substrate based on the surface being treated and the type of finish to be applied. The 24x20 size provides ample coverage for larger panels and components, and the packaging is presented as a roll, with a case quantity of 1, suitable for bulk purchases in professional settings. While this description notes the product’s intended function and general compatibility with common coating types, always verify substrate choice and formula alignment with your specific coating recommendations and process workflows.
