The Gerson 020003G Tack Cloth is a premium dust-collection cloth designed for meticulous surface prep in automotive, woodworking, and industrial settings. Crafted from 100% bleached cotton gauze with an ultra-fine 24 x 20 mesh, it effectively traps fine particles that can mar finishes. The cloth’s high tack formulation enhances particulate removal, helping to achieve a smooth, clean substrate ready for coating. Its soft cotton mesh conforms to complex contours without skipping or snagging, while an anti-static property minimizes dust attraction during handling and preparation. Importantly, the cloth is wax- and silicone-free, reducing the risk of residue that could interfere with paint adhesion or finish clarity. This combination supports professionals who require consistent surface cleanliness before applying coatings.
The universal Gold Formula is designed to be compatible with all paints, including modern waterborne systems, which makes it a versatile choice across automotive, industrial, and woodworking applications. The tack cloth is supplied in a case-pack configuration with multiple pieces per package, offering practical utility for shop workflows and repeat use across jobs. The 18” x 36” size referenced in the product line provides ample coverage for larger surfaces while maintaining ease of handling and disposal.
For best results, use as part of a cleanroom- or prep-focused workflow: wipe surfaces in a light, overlapping pattern to lift dust and particulates prior to coating or finishing. Because the cloth is cotton-based and free of wax and silicone, it helps minimize the risk of residue that can affect coating quality, making it suitable for tasks where surface integrity is critical.
