A brass zipper runs the front on aramid tape, complemented by a storm guard over the zipper to reduce exposure to heat and flame. The garment also includes a protective shirt collar, an elasticized waist for a secure fit, and a full set of pockets: two chest flap pockets with snap closures, two waist pockets, two rear hip patch pockets, plus a pen pocket on the left sleeve and a tool pocket on the leg, all contributing to practical field accessibility.
