The PIP 2418PE is a clear, single-use polyethylene sleeve designed to provide a lightweight barrier for arm protection in clean or low-contamination environments. Measuring 18 inches in length with a thickness of 1 mil, these sleeves come in a case quantity of 1,000, making them suitable for bulk replenishment in facilities where disposable protective coverings are preferred for quick donning and removal.
Constructed from polyethylene material, the sleeves are intended to be used once before disposal, helping to minimize cross-contamination risks. They are sold by case, and are available in 18-inch as well as 16-inch lengths, offering some versatility for different applications. The clear color allows for easy visual inspection of the covered area and any material that may contact the sleeve.
Considerations for use include ensuring proper sizing for the wearer’s arm and confirming compatibility with the task at hand, as the 1 mil thickness provides basic liquid and particulate barrier properties suitable for light-duty protection. Because the sleeves are disposable, they are typically used in environments where quick, hygienic changes are important, such as medical, food service, or general facilities work where arm protection is needed without heavy PPE. Refer to your facility’s safety requirements to determine appropriateness, and replace sleeves when integrity is compromised or after a single use.
