The OEL AFW40LF-L-NJB 40 CAL Jacket and Bib Overall Kit is a category 4 arc flash protective ensemble designed for high-risk electrical work. This kit combines a 40 cal/cm²-rated jacket and bib-overall with a Class E hard hat and HT clear faceshield, offering integrated personal protection for environments where arc flash exposure is a concern. The fabric is an 88/12 premium Indura cotton blend, and the garments are described as being hand-sewn in the USA with a focus on domestic sourcing of materials, aligning with OEL’s Made in America emphasis.
Key construction and features highlighted in the product data include non-metallic, non-conductive materials and reinforced stitching, along with a premium lift-front hood and lift-front headgear considerations. Optional add-ons listed include retrofitted dual 50 Cal articulating lights and a rear ventilation/9V headgear fan unit, which can influence airflow and visibility in demanding work conditions. The kit also includes the necessary head protection and face protection, with a dedicated storage bag and compact travel bag for convenience in the jobsite environment.
