The VizCon 45032-O TrafFix Water-Wall Water-Filled Barrier is an economical, easy-to-install crash barrier designed to protect people and property in work zones and around construction sites. When filled with water, the barrier provides a sturdy, temporary protective enclosure that can be quickly deployed along roadways or site perimeters to help channel traffic and create safe temporary work areas. Its 6-foot length and orange color help with visibility and create a clearly defined barrier outline for drivers and pedestrians.
Crafted from durable linear low-density polyethylene, the Water-Wall minimizes cracking and breaking under load. The design includes molded through holes to prevent bowing when filled, and a double-wall knuckle at the hinge points to reduce breakage. A hinge that permits as much as a 30-degree pivot between sections enhances flexibility when configuring layouts around curves, corners, or uneven terrain. The barrier features a large 8-inch fill hole with a twist-lock cap for a faster filling process, and a tamper-resistant, corner-offset drain plug that screws in or out in just 2½ turns for maintenance and repositioning. Each unit includes a steel connection pin to lock sections together, and forklift or pallet jack slots at the bottom to ease transport and placement.
For varied site needs, the Water-Wall can be connected directly to SLED end treatment, reducing the need for end-shielding or flare. It can also be paired with optional privacy or security enhancements, such as plastic or chain-link fencing, using extended connection pins. While available in standard orange/red or white, other colors can be requested to suit site branding or visibility requirements. This product is sold as a single 6-foot barrier, weighs approximately 80 pounds when empty and up to about 1,110 pounds when filled, making it suitable for straight-line or curved barriers in temporary installations.
