The Crown Matting NR 0034CH Needle-Rib entrance mat is an economical, ribbed-pattern mat designed for light-traffic entryways. Its needle-rib construction acts as a scraper and wiper, helping remove dirt while retaining moisture at the threshold to reduce water and grime tracked into a building. The mat’s vinyl backing provides a stable, moisture-trapping surface that helps protect underlying floors from scuffing and staining during daily use.
This mat is characterized by an unilateral ribbed pattern that concentrates the scraping action toward incoming footwear, with a charcoal color profile that can blend with a variety of doorway aesthetics. Its compact three-by-four-foot footprint and 5/16 inch thickness offer a low-profile option suitable for standard entry mats in offices, retail, and light-traffic facilities. The 3' x 4' size is packaged as an individual unit, making it simple to specify and order for single-door entrances or small vestibules.
When selecting this mat, consider entryway traffic levels, soil load, and cleaning routines. Proper placement at the doorway edge helps capture debris before it enters interior spaces, and routine vacuuming or edge cleaning will help maintain appearance and performance. Verify that the mat’s dimensions align with doorway clearance and that its vinyl backing remains intact in high-moisture areas to ensure long-term use and floor protection.
