The Savety Yellow SYP-PSG-72 is a self-closing pallet gate designed for mezzanine edges, enabling forklift-accessible pass-through while maintaining edge protection as material moves through the opening. When a pallet is pushed through, the gates resistward immediately and then spring closed to secure the opening, helping to minimize accidental contact with the edge during loading and unloading operations. The system uses three stainless steel torsion springs per gate, housed within the hinge assembly, to ensure reliable closing after each use. High-impact bumpers on the gate help minimize damage to pallets and pallets’ loads as they pass through the opening.
Constructed from steel and finished in powder-coated safety yellow, the gate assembly includes gate columns and is offered in standard opening widths of 60 inches or 72 inches with a clear height up to 84 inches. The design employs teardrop ABS bumpers projecting 3 inches to cushion contact, along with adjustable 4-inch high-impact toe boards to define the entrance and help contain loads at the threshold. With six springs total (three per gate), the mechanism provides consistent, automatic closure after each pass-through, supporting safe mezzanine access in busy material-handling environments.
This product is suitable for applications where palletized materials must be moved through an opening on a mezzanine while maintaining a protected edge. When selecting a size, review the opening width and ensure the 84-inch height clearance accommodates your pallet loads. Maintenance should focus on inspecting the hinge assemblies and springs for wear and ensuring the spring tension remains balanced for reliable self-closing action. The packaging is listed as per-unit (each).
