The Scotch MMM142 3850 Heavy-Duty Packaging Tape is designed for securing shipping boxes that endure tough handling. This clear tape uses a strong, solvent-free hot melt adhesive that helps seal heavy-duty packages in a single pass, reducing application time and tape waste while delivering a durable seal on a variety of box surfaces, including those made from 100% recycled material. The tape is manufactured for reliability in demanding shipping environments, offering a strong hold and resisting separation as boxes move through processing and transit.
Constructed as a 3.1 mil thick, 1.88 inch wide tape on a standard core, it comes in a single-roll package suitable for desktop dispensers and hand-applied use. Its aggressive adhesive and clear appearance make it suitable for sealing a wide range of carton types without obscuring logos or branding. The tape complies with common sealing expectations for heavy-duty shipments, including the ability to seal seams with a single strip, and it is intended to stay sealed under typical postal and carrier handling conditions.
This product is appropriate for offices and facilities that frequently ship or move bulk or heavy items and require consistent performance from a reliable packing tape. When selecting tape for recycled cartons, its ability to maintain a secure seal on such surfaces is a practical consideration. The MMM142 is sold as a single roll and is compatible with standard dispensing equipment that accommodates 1.5 inch core tapes.
