The Vestil HDC-905-IDC/460V is a hydraulic drum crusher/compactor designed to handle 55-gallon steel drums, with a dual-function capability that allows crushing of drums and, when the crushing platen is removed, mechanical compacting of drum contents. It operates on 460V three-phase power and delivers a crushing force of up to 38,000 lbs, flattening a drum to approximately 6 inches in a full cycle (crush and retract) in about 25 seconds. The unit includes safety and control features such as a powered illuminated ON/OFF switch for better visibility and a mushroom-head emergency stop, along with a door interlock system that prevents motor operation unless the access door is closed. Built-in fork pockets aid in transport, and a drip pan helps minimize oil spills during operation. An 18-gallon oil reservoir supports the hydraulic system, and the machine is constructed from steel with a blue finish.
