Challenge

In March of 2024, the Facilities Coordinator of Strattec Security Corporation on in Auburn Hills Michigan, reached out to The Safety Source after a Google search for "best mezzanine contractor in Michigan." Strattec inquired about a custom quote for a mezzanine to store auto parts test fixtures, while still being able to utilize the floor below the mezzanine.

Strattec Security Corporation was facing increasing pressure on their existing floor space due to the need to store a growing number of auto parts test fixtures. These fixtures varied in size and were critical to ongoing testing and validation processes, making accessibility and organization essential.

Without a dedicated storage solution, fixtures were occupying valuable production and floor space, leading to inefficiencies in workflow and limited room for operational flexibility. At the same time, expanding the facility was not a practical option due to cost, timing, and disruption to ongoing operations.
