Overview

The Safety Source approached IAC Mendon in reference to providing a turnkey LED lighting proposal to upgrade their interior lighting to new energy efficient LED fixtures.

The Safety Source provided a free, no-cost, no-obligation proposal and once approved handled the application paper work to secure an energy rebate of over $120,000 from Consumers Energy. The lighting project took two weeks to complete. The Safety Source worked around the hectic ever changing production schedule at this facility. The entire building envelope was retrofitted with energy efficient LED fixtures and lamps, including high bay, wrap lights and office troffers in their 200,000 sq. ft. facility.

The LED upgrade resulted in the following savings of $144,780.71 in energy costs annually, improved light levels and maintenance costs avoidance of $24,276.89 annually. These LED fixtures have a 100,000 hour life expectancy and come with 5 and 10 year manufacture warranty.
