The Black Stallion BP-VC Vermiculite Fiberglass Backpad is a rugged accessory designed for welding applications, providing a protective, heat-resistant backing solution for improved comfort and protection in the field or shop. Its construction combines a vermiculite-coated bottom layer with an aluminized fiberglass top layer, delivering a durable surface that helps manage heat and resist hot sparks during metalwork tasks. Leather and elastic straps add secure, adjustable handling, making the backpad easier to position and keep in place as you work.
This backpad is sized to fit compactly within common welding setups while offering sufficient coverage for targeted shoulder, back, or upper-body support. The vermiculite coating on the bottom helps manage heat transfer, while the fiberglass top layer contributes to overall durability in rugged environments. The product is packaged as individual units, with a case quantity of 144 available for larger inventories or shop needs.
Designed for use in welding-related activities where added protection is beneficial, the BP-VC backpad pairs with standard gear and reduces direct exposure to radiant heat and sparks in the back area. For maintenance and compatibility, consider how the backpad's dimensions and attachment method integrate with existing PPE systems and workshop setups, ensuring proper fit and positioning throughout a shift. Detailed product specifications and a downloadable spec sheet are available to confirm exact materials, coatings, and dimensional considerations before purchase.
