The MCR Safety 2000 Schooner Poncho is a lightweight, one-size-fits-all rain protection garment designed for quick coverage on wet, windy days. Constructed from a durable .35 mm PVC/polyester blend, this poncho offers a practical balance of strength and flexibility for field or shop use. It features an attached hood to shield the head from rain, and side snap closures to secure the fit and keep water from entering at the sides. The all-yellow color helps with visibility in work environments, supporting safety through easy spotting and quick donning in adverse weather.
Key construction details help it perform in real-world conditions: the thick PVC/polyester material provides a dependable barrier against rain while remaining relatively lightweight for easy mobility. The hood is permanently attached, ensuring hooded protection without the risk of misplacing parts. Side snaps allow for adjustable opening and a secure fit across a range of body sizes, contributing to reliable coverage when working outdoors or moving between damp interiors and exteriors. The poncho is described as a single, one-size-fits-most garment, simplifying stocking and deployment in tool cribs, fleets, or maintenance carts.
Practical considerations for use include recognizing that, as a loose-fitting poncho, it prioritizes coverage and ease of donning over form-fitting comfort. The product is packaged as individual items with a case quantity suitable for bulk stocking. When selecting sizing and maintenance expectations, note the documented dimensions and closure method to ensure compatibility with other PPE layers and to assess storage needs in your facility."
