PIP 390-PCVCP1 EZ-Cool Replacement Phase Change Cooling Packs are a two-pack cooling solution designed to extend the usefulness of phase-change cooling systems. These clear packs are intended to be activated before use by placing them in a freezer or soaking in ice water for up to one hour until solid throughout, enabling reliable cooling performance during operation. Once activated, the cooling effect can last for up to three hours, and the packs are reusable for multiple cycles, making them suitable for intermittent cooling needs in PPE or other equipment that benefits from phase-change cooling.
The product is supplied as a set of two cooling packs, with a clear color and EZ-Cool series designation. Each order unit is listed as “Each” in the package size, with a case quantity of 10, reflecting common bulk purchasing configurations. A downloadable spec sheet is available for this item, which can help validate its compatibility with compatible cooling systems and understand any usage nuances. The documentation highlights that the PCM (phase change material) is non-flammable and non-combustible, an important safety note for environments where heat management is critical and flammability risk must be minimized.
Considerations for use include ensuring packs reach solid temperature throughout before deployment and recognizing the three-hour cooling window, after which reactivation is required. While the data does not specify dimensions, materials beyond the non-flammability claim are not provided here, so users should consult the spec sheet for exact technical details and compatibility with their specific EZ-Cool setup. The product is sold under the PIP brand and is identified by part number 390-PCVCP1, with a case-pack configuration of 10 units per box, which can influence replenishment planning for facilities that rely on continuous cooling support.
