The PIP 305-2100 is a high-visibility mesh vest designed for rugged work environments where both visibility and flame/arc flash protection are important. It carries ANSI/ISEA 107 Class 2 visibility and is built with GlenGuard modacrylic fabric to balance durability with comfort during extended wear. The vest features 2-inch 3M Scotchlite FR reflective tape for enhanced nighttime or low-light conspicuity and a self-binding edge with an FR hook-and-loop closure that helps secure the vest over arc-rated clothing. An internal lower pocket provides convenient storage for small items you need to keep near at hand on the job. The spec indicates an arc rating of ATPV 5.1 cal/cm2, aligning it with applications where exposure to arc-flash hazards is a consideration, while the caution that it should be worn over arc-rated clothing—not alone or over non-arc-resistant attire—helps ensure proper protection is maintained.
This vest is intended for use in construction, municipal settings, or other work conditions that require high-visibility gear paired with arc-rated protection. It is sold in unit quantities with a single vest per package and is compatible with wear over arc-rated clothing to maintain the protective layering required by safety programs. A typical expected workflow includes selecting this Class 2 visibility level for worksites that don’t require the higher Class 3 level but still demand strong conspicuity, especially in environments with moving machinery or vehicle traffic.
For convenience, a spec sheet is available for download, and the product presentation notes the one internal lower pocket as a practical feature for small tools or notes. Color is Hi-Vis Yellow, and the vest is part of the PIP series, with a case quantity of 25 per box for bulk orders. When selecting size and fit, consider the need to wear arc-rated clothing underneath, as this item is designed to be worn over such garments rather than as a standalone layer.
