PIP 390-EZ102 EZ-Cool Evaporative Cooling Vest with Tieback

The PIP 390-EZ102 EZ-Cool Evaporative Cooling Vest with Tieback is designed to help manage heat during strenuous activities by utilizing evaporative cooling technology. The vest’s cooling effect relies on KewlFabric™, a specially engineered material that absorbs water and releases it through evaporation, providing extended cooling once activated. To use, soak the vest for 2–3 minutes, wring out excess water, and wear; the cooling relief can continue for several hours after activation, supporting activities where heat stress is a concern.

Key construction details include a lightweight vest design with a tieback closure for adjustable fit, and a Hi-Vis Yellow color option that enhances visibility in industrial settings. Activation is quick, with a typical 2–3 minute process, and the cooling effect is reported to reduce the wearer’s body temperature relative to ambient conditions by a noticeable margin. The product is sized as a single vest per package and ships in quantities that align with typical bulk packaging for PPE, with a case quantity of 25 units for easier stocking and fulfillment.

This vest is suited for scenarios where workers face heat exposure but require mobility and ease of use without complex equipment. Practical considerations include the need to refresh the cooling by re-soaking as the evaporative layer depletes, and ensuring the fabric remains properly hydrated for effective operation. The EZ-Cool series designation indicates the specific line within PIP’s evaporative cooling products, while the tieback closure provides a simple, adjustable fit.
