The Tingley H56107-LG DuraScrim Hood is a standalone hood designed for use with DuraScrim jackets and coats. Sold as a hood-only component, it comes in a high-visibility yellow and is constructed with a PVC-on-polyester fabric, offering a lightweight 8-ounce fabric weight. The hood features a drawstring for adjustable fit and uses a snap attachment method, enabling quick, secure snapping to compatible DuraScrim garments. This reusable hood is intended to be waterproof, contributing to protection against moisture while maintaining breathability typical of PVC-on-polyester builds.
From a practical standpoint, the hood’s 1-piece design prioritizes simplicity and ease of use in environments where quick donning and doffing are advantageous. The product is categorized for adult unisex sizing, and packaging indicates a case quantity of 12 units per carton with each hood individual in its own package. The attached documentation includes a spec sheet, and the hood is designed to snap onto the corresponding DuraScrim jacket or coat, ensuring a compatible, integrated system rather than a universal fit. The combination of waterproof performance and durable construction aims to support frequent use in industrial or field settings where splash, light rain, or mist protection is needed without additional extensive layering.
Because this item is a component of a larger DuraScrim system, verify compatibility with your specific DuraScrim jacket or coat model before purchasing. Note the attachment method (snap) and the need for a 1-piece hood when planning inventory or replacements. The listed color is yellow, and the hood is reusable, which can influence maintenance and cleaning considerations over time. See the downloadable spec sheet for exact material composition and care guidance to ensure the hood aligns with your safety and PPE programs.
