The PIP 10-KDS16 Kut Gard Kevlar 2-ply Sleeve is designed to extend arm protection for tasks that involve handling large objects or reaching into constrained spaces. The sleeve offers a combination of cut and heat resistance, making it suitable for applications such as sheet metal work, stamping, glass handling, assembly, automotive manufacturing, and plastic molding. The Kevlar composition contributes to abrasion resistance and flame resistance without relying on a flame-retardant coating, helping to protect the wearer in high-heat or high-friction environments.
Constructed as a two-ply Kevlar sleeve, it provides ANSI A3 cut resistance while maintaining flexibility. The tube-style sleeve is designed to fit snugly on the arm and stretch for wearer comfort, helping to minimize slipping during repetitive or reach-focused tasks. Available in a 16-inch length, the sleeve is intended for bulk packaging with individual unit sizing, and it is stocked in a yellow color for visibility in industrial settings.
When selecting this sleeve, consider the need for extended reach protection and the importance of a secure, comfortable fit for prolonged wear. The 16-inch length helps cover exposed forearm regions during activities that involve large objects or material handling. Packaging is listed as bulk, with each unit available, and a case quantity of 144, which may impact procurement planning depending on stocking practices.
Compatibility and practical considerations should include ensuring the sleeve size and length align with operator reach requirements and that the underlying skin and other PPE (gloves, arm protection) components are compatible with the workflow. This product is identified by manufacturer part number 10-KDS16 and is categorized under PPE from the PIP brand.
