The PIP 281-CSD-2PT JSP 2-Point Chin Strap with Chin Cup is a replacement accessory designed to customize JSP hard hats and related headgear with a secure, two-point retention system. Its elastic strap configuration provides a simple, adjustable fit that helps keep the helmet properly positioned during use, while the included chin cup adds comfort and reduces pressure on the chin area during extended wear.
Constructed as a standard two-point strap, this accessory is intended for compatibility with JSP Industrial Safety Helmets and related head protection products. When correctly fitted, it aligns with the helmet’s retention system to maintain stability on the head. The product is also specified to meet EN397 when used with JSP Industrial Safety Helmets and EN812 when paired with Hardcap Aerolite bump caps, indicating compliance with these European standards in appropriate configurations. Users should confirm exact compatibility with their existing head protection lineup to ensure proper integration.
Typical use involves replacing worn or damaged chin straps on compatible JSP headgear or upgrading a helmet with a secure two-point retention setup. As with any head-protection accessory, ensure the strap remains free of cracks, tears, or deformation and replace if signs of wear appear. Proper sizing and adjustment are essential for maintaining a secure fit, so follow any manufacturer guidance for strap length and Chin Cup positioning to maximize comfort and stability during work activities.
