PROP 65
The Cordova 5300J Oil Demon is a heavy-duty protective glove designed for handling oily and solvent-containing environments. This double-dipped PVC glove combines a black and orange exterior with a sandpaper-like finish to enhance grip, especially when working with slippery or viscous materials. A jersey lining adds comfort for extended wear, and the 2.5-inch safety cuff helps seal out debris and provides a secure fit at the wrist.
Constructed from PVC, the Oil Demon offers resistance to a range of substances commonly encountered in industrial settings, including oils, caustics, acids, detergents, and solvents. This makes the glove suitable for tasks that involve petroleum hydrocarbons, alcohols, and other harsh liquids where grip strength and chemical compatibility are important. The double-dipped construction is intended to impart durability and extended life in demanding environments, while maintaining dexterity for manual handling tasks.
Typical applications include automotive or manufacturing operations, metalworking, and maintenance tasks where oily or greasy materials are handled. The glove’s color combination and textured finish help workers quickly identify sizes and grip conditions, contributing to safer handling. Packaging details indicate a case quantity of 6 dozen per case, with each case containing sized dozens, which can influence ordering and stocking plans in a PPE program. As with all chemical-contact PPE, verify compatibility with specific substances in use and follow appropriate donning, doffing, and inspection procedures to ensure reliable performance.
