The CGW 52895 abrasive belt is a 52" by 75" X-Weight belt designed for high-demand metalworking and fabrication tasks. With an aluminum oxide grain on an X-Weight backing, this belt offers a closed coat that promotes rapid stock removal while delivering longer belt life, making it suitable for repeated use on a variety of materials.
This belt is formulated for versatility, performing on ferrous metals, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, as well as composites, plastics, and wood. The combination of 80 grit size and aluminum oxide grain provides an effective balance between aggressive material removal and smooth finishing, which can help improve productivity on applications such as deburring, blending, and edge refinement.
In practical terms, these belts are packaged in units of one with a box quantity of three, allowing you to plan for intermediate workloads without frequent reordering. The 52" width and 75" length accommodate wide belt sanding machines, and the X-Weight backing supports stable dimensional control during heavy stock removal. When selecting replacement belts, confirm your equipment compatibility with these dimensions and the grain/backing specification to ensure optimal performance and belt life.
