CGW 49639 4" x 5/8"-11 Arbor .020" Wire 7/8" Trim Carbon Steel Stringer Bead Twist Fast Cut Wire Wheel Bulk Pack is a heavy-duty wire brushing solution designed for metal surface preparation. This wheel features oil-drawn wire for improved durability and flexibility, helping it resist springback and maintain effective contact with the workpiece during grinding, deburring, and cleaning tasks. The 4-inch diameter and 7/8-inch trim with a 5/8-11 arbor size provide a compact, versatile option suitable for small to medium-area workloads, particularly useful for removing weld scale, rust, and old coatings, as well as deburring flat surfaces.
The construction is optimized for fast-cutting performance on metal, with a stringer bead style designed to concentrate material removal on welded joints and rough surfaces. The .020-inch wire thickness contributes to a balance between aggressiveness and control, which is important for maintaining surface integrity while achieving efficient deburring and scale removal. This bulk pack is configured for high-volume or shop use, allowing convenient stocking and deployment across multiple workstations or projects.
Compatibility and handling considerations: designed for power tools with a 5/8-11 arbor, the wheel requires appropriate mounting and guard protection as recommended by the tool and wheel manufacturers. The specified RPM rating (up to 20,000 RPM) should be matched to the tool’s speed capability to avoid over-speed conditions. Packaging indicates individual wheels in a bulk pack, suitable for ongoing production or maintenance tasks where frequent wheel changes are expected.
