The CGW 63062 1" W x 50 yd L 60-Grit Brown Aluminum Oxide Abrasive Shop Roll is designed for general-purpose sanding on metal surfaces and detailed work. The roll’s construction combines high-flexibility cotton cloth with a phenolic resin bond, contributing to durable performance and controlled grain shedding. Its semi-friable aluminum oxide abrasive grains deliver aggressive material removal while maintaining extended life for continuous use in shop environments.
Manufactured to support tasks such as plumbing, lathe work, and fine craftsmanship detailing, this abrasive shop roll offers consistent grit delivery and predictable sanding action. The 60-grit size provides a medium level of coarseness suitable for deburring, blending, and finishing operations where a balance between material removal and surface finish is required. The bond and backing are selected to help resist shedding and to maintain uniform contact with the workpiece under typical shop conditions.
The roll format is 1 inch wide by 50 yards long, offering a convenient length for wrap-and-use applications or for trimming to fit shorter jobs. Each roll is packaged as a single unit, ready for integration into standard maintenance routines or inventory stocking. When selecting this abrasive, consider the metal type and desired finish, as grit size and backing influence the resulting surface texture and the tendency for heat buildup during sanding.
