The CGW 59747 Finish Pro Roll-On Surface Conditioning Disc is a 3-inch diameter non-woven pad designed for finishing, deburring, and rust or burr removal on metal surfaces. This medium (maroon) grade provides a balance between material removal and surface refinement and is commonly used on stainless steel as well as ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The Roll-On (R/O) construction supports quick, easy attachment to compatible backing pads, enabling efficient disc changes during processing.
Constructed as a heavy-duty conditioning disc, it is intended for demanding cleaning and finishing tasks. The medium grade (maroon) corresponds to roughly a 180 grit finish in traditional abrasive terms, offering a practical mid-range option between coarse and very fine options. This makes it suitable for applications that require noticeable material removal without overshooting into aggressive stock removal. The disc is offered in a 3-inch size and is packaged with 25 discs per box, with each unit rated for up to 20,000 RPM, which aligns with common high-speed finishing tools and helps ensure stable performance when used with compatible equipment at mid to high speeds.
When selecting this disc, consider the balance of aggressiveness and surface finish required for your project, along with the metal type being worked on. The maroon, medium-grade conditioning disc is compatible with standard roll-on backing systems and is intended for use in facility maintenance, metal fabrication, or finishing operations where consistent, even abrasion is desired across the workpiece. Proper matching of RPM and backing pad is important to achieve consistent results and to maximize disc life and performance.
