The Spilltech SPLADC12-CIR Drain Cover is a flexible, reusable solution designed to seal drains and help prevent unwanted liquids from entering the system. Constructed from solid polyurethane, the cover features tacky surfaces on both sides, allowing either side to form a tight seal over a drain opening. Its red, reusable design supports repeated use and chemical compatibility across a range of solvents, oils, and common drain contaminants. Packaged as a single item, the DrainCover is intended for temporary use and should be stored in its portable box when not in use.
Over time, the physical properties of softer urethane can shift with environmental exposure such as temperature, humidity, and UV light. The manufacturer notes an approximate life expectancy of five years under typical conditions and advises inspection of stored units to ensure continued usability. For ongoing or challenging chemical exposures, customers are encouraged to contact customer service or utilize live chat to verify compatibility and handling guidance. This product is meant to be picked up after each use, cleaned, and stored properly, and should not be left in place or driven over by vehicles.
The DrainCover’s listed dimensions indicate an external diameter of 12 inches and a thickness of 0.5 inches, with a red color code and polypropylene material noted in the spec data. Packaging is per unit. Practical use involves blocking a drain opening during temporary maintenance or cleanup tasks to minimize ingress of liquids or contaminants, with regular inspection and maintenance recommended to ensure continued effectiveness.
