The Crown Matting NR 0046GY Needle-Rib entrance mat is a lightweight, economical matting solution designed for light-traffic entrances. Its needle-rib pattern is engineered to scrape away dirt while retaining moisture, helping to reduce the amount of contaminants tracked into a facility. The mat is constructed with a unilateral ribbed pattern on a vinyl backing, which aids in moisture capture and provides floor protection by acting as a barrier between shoes and interior surfaces.
This gray 4' x 6' mat features a thickness of 5/16 inch, making it compatible with standard entryways and mat wells without adding excessive height. The unilateral rib design concentrates scrubbing action in one direction, helping maintain cleaner floors when laid across doorways or transitional spaces. The vinyl backing helps keep the mat in place and contributes to overall durability in environments with routine foot traffic and seasonal dirt loads. Packaging is listed as each unit, suitable for straightforward stocking and replacement.
Ideal for low- to moderate-traffic entrances where a cost-conscious, easy-to-maintain solution is appropriate, the Needle-Rib mat provides a simple way to trap moisture and soil at the threshold, reducing initial clean-up effort for facility staff. When selecting this mat, confirm doorway width and compatibility with mat wells or recessed edging, and ensure routine cleaning or vacuuming to prevent mat buildup that could affect performance over time.
