The Crown Matting NR 0023GY is a lightweight, economical entrance mat designed for light-traffic areas. Its Needle-Rib pattern acts as a scraper and wiper, helping to remove and trap surface dirt while holding moisture at the doorway to minimize tracking into the interior. This helps reduce grime that can be carried further into a facility, supporting cleaner floors with less need for frequent cleaning of entry zones.
The mat features a unilateral ribbed pattern on a vinyl backing, which provides moisture capture and helps protect underlying floor surfaces from abrasion in entryways. The gray mat measures 2 feet by 3 feet with a thickness of 5/16 inch, and is sold individually. These dimensions and construction details are important for ensuring proper coverage at doorways and for evaluating fit within existing mat wells or entry-floor configurations.
Ideal for low- to moderate-foot-traffic entrances where a compact, economical mat is suitable, this option can be used as a primary entry mat or in combination with larger mats for layered protection. When selecting, consider doorway width and the surrounding floor material to determine if the 2'×3' footprint provides adequate coverage and whether replacement cycles align with traffic flow. Maintenance typically involves regular cleaning to remove accumulated dirt and periodic inspection of the vinyl backing for wear, ensuring continued moisture trapping and floor protection.
