The Crown Matting MA FG62BK Mat-A-Dor 36"x72" Black Entrance Matting is a premium scraper mat designed to reduce tracked-in dirt and moisture by capturing the majority of soil from shoe soles as people enter. Its construction emphasizes resilience in variable conditions, with a focus on maintaining flexibility and performance in cold temperatures to ensure reliable use in low-temperature entryways or loading docks where mats may be exposed to cooler environments.
The mat is specified as black, with a 36-inch width and 72-inch length, and a thickness of 5/8 inch, offering a substantial surface area for debris interception while still fitting standard entry configurations. The product is described by the manufacturer as a durable option that resists common acids, alkalis, and salt, which can contribute to longer service life in environments where chemical exposure or de-icing agents are a concern. This resistance helps protect the interior floors by limiting degradation of the mat material and reducing maintenance needs over time. The Mat-A-Dor line is positioned as a premium option within facility maintenance offerings for entrances where cleanliness, appearance, and ongoing mat performance are important.
Ideal use cases include commercial building entryways, lobbies, and exterior doors where heavy foot traffic is expected and soils are varied. When selecting sizing, users should consider door swing and available mat recess or curb installation to ensure full-surface coverage. For installation and maintenance, rely on the standard packaging (per unit) and consider routine inspection for wear, especially in high-traffic zones, to determine replacement timing and to maintain effective dirt capture and interior cleanliness.
