The Markal MRK80222 Paintstik B Marker is a versatile solid paint crayon designed for high-visibility marking on diverse surfaces. Marketed as Markal’s most economical option, this marker combines paint performance with the convenience of a crayon, delivering durable, weather- and UV-resistant marks that stand up to oil, moisture, and varied temperatures. Its solid formulation eliminates the need for replacing tips, sharpening, or priming, helping to sustain productivity in demanding environments. The marker is housed in an easy-to-hold, recyclable paperboard holder that protects the Paintstik for efficient use.
Constructed to perform on rough, rusty, smooth, or dirty hard surfaces, the Paintstik B maintains legibility across a wide range of conditions. It is available in multiple sizes, including standard 11/16" (17 mm), which is the size represented here, along with fine and king-size options, to accommodate different user preferences and marking requirements. The marking range spans from -50°F to 150°F (-46°C to 66°C), ensuring that visibility is maintained in both cold and hot environments. This particular red Paintstik is listed as a crayon-style marker suited for hard substrates where a durable, long-lasting mark is needed without equipment or setup time.
Typical use cases include marking on metal, concrete, wood, or other hard surfaces in industrial spaces, maintenance shops, or outdoor settings where temporary or semi-permanent identification is required. When selecting replacements or refills, consider the standard 11/16" size for this SKU, and note that packaging details indicate a boxed quantity of 12 per box and 144 per case, which can influence reordering and inventory planning. While this description aligns with documented product attributes, verify compatibility with your specific substrate and environmental conditions to ensure the chosen Paintstik meets your marking needs.
