The Vestil H-100-HD Low Profile Hopper is a heavy-duty, self-dumping steel hopper designed for efficient material handling. Built with a low-profile profile to ease loading, this model features a 1 cubic yard capacity and a 6,000 lb uniform load rating, making it suitable for transporting bulk materials with a forklift. The unit travels in a stable, upright position and dumps at a full 90-degree angle, aided by a pull-cable mechanism that is operated from the seat of the fork truck. A cushioned rubber bumper stop helps protect the hopper and surrounding areas during dumping, and a heavy-duty latch provides an added safety measure for workers during operation.
Documented construction and distinguishing features include steel construction with an 8-gauge thickness and a 1/4 inch formed base plate, ensuring structural integrity in rugged material-handling environments. The hopper’s design prioritizes safe handling through a locking upright position when lowered, and a maximum stacking compatibility note indicates that units within the same overall width can be stacked in certain configurations, with a caution not to exceed a three-high stack.
This hopper is intended for use with forklifts, leveraging the manual pull-cable dump to rotate the unit from the seated position to a full dump angle and back to upright. When planning use, ensure proper engagement of the safety restraint on the forklift before dumping and verify compatibility with your forklift’s fork pockets. Key dimensional references include a 21-5/8 inch fork-pocket center and usable pocket dimensions of approximately 22 inches long, 7 inches wide, and 2 inches high; the front lip sits about 20-5/8 inches above the floor. The package is sold as Each.
