The Vestil V-1124-6 Rubber Laminated Dock Bumper is designed to shield loading docks and trailers from incidental contact during material handling. This laminated-style bumper uses fabric reinforced rubber sourced from recycled truck tires and is sandwiched between painted structural angles, then held together with 3/4-inch steel tie rods. A center support bracket, 12 inches long, is included for the 96-inch-wide configuration, providing structural integrity and helping to distribute impact forces along the dock edge. The construction prioritizes economical protection while remaining straightforward to install by bolting or welding to the dock surface. The width measurements reflect the bolt hole layout for the various bumpers, with the specification indicating the 24-inch height and a 7-1/4-inch width envelope, along with the 6-inch width variant noted in the manufacturer data.
Because the bumper is made from fabric reinforced rubber, it combines resistance to abrasion with the resilience needed to absorb impact from docked vehicles and equipment. The laminated assembly—rubber layers, framing angles, and tie rods—helps maintain alignment and reduces the chance of misalignment after repeated use. When selecting this bumper, verify the dock’s mounting pattern and ensure compatibility with bolting or welding installation methods. The product is sized to a 24-inch rubber height and a 7-1/4-inch nominal width, with the package sold as a single unit, suitable for retrofit onto standard dock edges where a wide, low-profile bumper is appropriate. Maintaining the fasteners and confirming the installation pattern will support long-term performance under routine loading dock activity.
