This Cosco 2-Step Folding Steel Step Stool provides a compact, portable solution for reaching overhead areas in janitorial, maintenance, or light assembly tasks. With two steel steps and a working height around 28 inches, it offers a stable platform for short-duration tasks while remaining easy to store when folded. The stool’s construction emphasizes durability and grip, featuring ribbed, slip-resistant metal treads to reduce the chance of slipping during ascent or descent. Continuous rear-leg support enhances lateral stability, helping to minimize wobble when you’re on the steps. The Opti-Bond powder-coated finish adds surface durability and helps resist scratches that can occur with frequent use in busy work environments. Front legs are nonmarring and paired with back glides to help protect floors from scuffs and damage, making it suitable for use on varied indoor surfaces.
Design considerations focus on practicality and ease of handling. A conveniently integrated carry handle makes transporting the stool between rooms or job sites straightforward, while its foldable design reduces storage space requirements when not in use. The stool folds to a compact width and depth, aiding placement in closets, janitorial closets, or under workbenches. For best results, use the stool on level, stable floors and inspect the hinge and locking mechanisms before each use to ensure the unit is fully deployed and secure.
This model is cataloged as a folding steel step stool with a 2-step configuration, finished in Cool Gray. It is packaged as a single unit and is intended for general indoor tasks that require a temporary elevated reach rather than continuous heavy-duty use. Always verify compatibility with the task at hand and observe appropriate weight limits and safe operating practices for step stools.
