The Green Creative 98404 is a compact LED PL lamp designed to replace traditional fluorescent downlights in vertical installations. It delivers about 600 lumens at 5 watts and uses a 3000 K warm white color, making it suitable for welcoming environments in retail spaces, commercial offices, and hotel entryways. This LED hybrid is compatible with or without a ballast, offering a flexible upgrade path from existing CFL setups and can help reduce energy consumption compared with a 13-watt CFL replacement, supporting more efficient lighting in areas that require frequent replacement or maintenance.
Constructed for vertical applications, the lamp features a GX23 base and a body length of 5.28 inches with a 2.56-inch diameter. It is UL listed and rated for damp locations, aligning with common installation requirements in interior spaces. The device operates as a Type A/B hybrid, which broadens compatibility across different ballast configurations and simplifies retrofits. Each unit is covered by a 5-year warranty, and it ships in cases of six, facilitating steady stocking for facilities with multiple fixtures or rooms requiring uniform lighting.
When planning replacements, consider the CFL equivalence and the potential savings from reduced energy use and maintenance intervals. The 98404’s vertical burn position is important for ensuring proper light distribution in fixtures designed for this orientation. Its 3000 K color temperature provides a warm, inviting ambience that complements retail and hospitality environments, while the compact form factor supports easy retrofits in recessed or ceiling-limb fixtures where space is at a premium.
