Detroit Garage Works 607040 B-24 Liberator Aircraft Wash 55 Gallon Drum

Detroit Garage Works 607040 B-24 Liberator Aircraft Wash is a water-based cleaner designed for exterior aircraft surfaces, offering effective dirt, grease, exhaust soot, and fuel residue removal while minimizing environmental impact. The formulation is non-flammable, non-toxic, and non-caustic, supporting safer handling and reduced exposure compared to harsher cleaners. Its non-corrosive properties indicate it won’t damage surfaces, rubber seals, sealants, or Lexan® components, which is important for preserving sensitive aircraft finishes and materials over repeated use.

Key features include a light green color with a pleasant fragrance and a pH in the mild alkaline range (pH 9.0–9.5), which helps balance effective cleaning with material compatibility. The product is designed to be concentrated for maximum performance and efficiency, facilitating coverage and reducing the volume needed per job. With a shelf life of up to 30 months, it provides a long usable window when stored properly.

This cleaner is suitable for mixed fleet use, including aircraft exteriors and potential applications in vehicle fleets such as trucks, where a non-solvent, environmentally conscious wash is desirable. Packaging is a case with a single quantity, aligning with maintenance operations that manage inventory at the facility level. When using this product, operators should follow standard dilution and contact-time guidelines appropriate for the cleaning task, and ensure compatible surfaces are protected from overspray or prolonged exposure to ensure optimal results.
