Detroit Garage Works 300128 Paul’s Detroit Auto Wash Gallon

Paul’s Detroit Auto Wash Gallon is a versatile automotive cleaner designed for general use on a range of vehicle finishes. Built for high suds and strong cleaning capability, this formulation is intended to thoroughly lift dirt without requiring aggressive wiping. It stays soluble in cold water and rinses freely, reducing the potential for film or residue on the surface after rinsing. An economical choice, the product specifies a low dose of one ounce per gallon of water, aligning with typical car-wash workflows where efficient dilution matters.

The cleaner is characterized by a mild fragrance and a blue color, with a pH around 9, which places it in the mildly alkaline category appropriate for removing dirt while being mindful of finish integrity. The product’s specific gravity is near 1.03, and each case ships in a four-pack, with a total weight per unit around 8.2 pounds, indicating a practical quantity for shop or garage use. The packaging and formulation emphasize easy handling in typical janitorial and auto-care routines, supporting environments that manage routine vehicle cleaning without extensive handling complexity.

This product is suitable for cleaning a variety of vehicle surfaces, including metal, carbon and fiberglass components, as suggested by its manufacturer description. When using, maintain the recommended dilution to achieve the described cleaning performance and ensure thorough rinsing to minimize any potential residues. Consider storage life and shelf stability when scheduling stock rotation, as the specified shelf life is about 30 months from the date of manufacture. As with all cleaners, verify any surface-specific cautions on test areas prior to broad application to safeguard finishes.
