Radians 99705 Sideshield Clear Pair

Radians VisionAid SideShields are an economical add-on to prescription eyewear, designed to extend protection to the sides of the eyes for visitors and employees who wear glasses. These flexible vinyl side shields are molded to be lightweight and conform to the contours of most eyeglass frames, allowing temples to fold normally while providing additional coverage. The design supports quick, tool-free attachment by weaving through the temple and front of the frame, and requires no metal parts, making them compatible with a wide range of eyewear configurations.

Constructed from soft, bendable vinyl, the side shields are rated to absorb impact energy and block 100% of UV rays, contributing to eyewear protection without modifying the primary lenses. They are manufactured in the USA and are sized for pairing as a set with a frame, typically sold as a box of 60 shields, with a per-pair packaging configuration. Compliance statements indicate conformance with ANSI Z87.1, reflecting common safety eyewear standards in workplaces where eye protection is required. Use of these side shields is appropriate for environments where additional peripheral protection is beneficial while still allowing the user to wear corrective lenses.

For purchasing, note that the package comprises a pair of side shields, designed to fit many frame styles through a simple, non-destructive attachment method. There are no tools or parts to lose, and the patented technology is leveraged to facilitate easy application and removal. Consider ordering by the box quantity if you anticipate frequent replacements or additions to a workforce, and ensure proper fit by aligning the shields with the frame front and temple before use.
