The Better Brush 630220 Long Bristle Rotary Pad Driver is a 20-inch diameter attachment designed to drive and cushion pads or bonnet attachments during polishing, buffing, scrubbing, and stripping tasks. Built to engage with rotary floor machines, this driver uses long, straight, stiff black polypropylene bristles (1 inch trim) to cushion the pad while efficiently directing rotation for effective surface treatment. The design emphasizes aggressive pad engagement to improve pad control and material removal while maintaining pad alignment during operation.
Constructed from polypropylene, the long bristle driver features a black bristle set that helps stabilize the pad path and resists wear during routine janitorial maintenance tasks. The 1-inch bristle trim concentrates contact at the pad surface, offering a balance between agitation and pad protection. When paired with a 1-inch riser (sold separately), the driver can be positioned to optimize pad contact for varied flooring and applicator setups. This 20-inch variant is part of a series available in sizes ranging from 10 to 21 inches, allowing selection to match machine and pad configurations.
Common use scenarios include fast polishing, buffing, scrubbing, and stripping on resilient or hard floors using compatible pad or carpet bonnet assemblies. Considerations for use include ensuring the driver is properly seated on the rotary machine, selecting an appropriate pad for the application, and verifying compatibility with the associated riser if you need adjusted pad height. The packaging lists a single unit per package, suitable for immediate installation with compatible 20-inch pads and bonnet systems.
