The Better Brush 660717 is a 17-inch nylon rotary carpet scrub brush designed for heavy-duty carpet cleaning applications. Built from nylon, this brush is sized to fit standard rotary scrubbing equipment and is intended to efficiently agitate fibers during deep-cleaning cycles. The product name and manufacturer notes identify it as a nylon carpet scrub brush, with a focus on durability and compatibility with rotary scrub systems. The 17-inch diameter provides a wide cleaning path, which can help reduce cycle times on large carpeted areas when paired with compatible machinery.
A distinguishing feature is the optional height plate that can be used to adjust the effective scrubbing pressure. The height plate bolts under the brush and bears part of the buffer weight, allowing the operator to tailor scrubbing strength to the cleaning task. Note that the 1 inch riser referenced for installation must be ordered separately, indicating an additional supporting component may be required for certain equipment configurations. This product is sold as an individual unit, with packaging listed as Each and a case quantity of 1, which is consistent with many janitorial hardware components that are used as replaceable brush elements.
The applicability of this brush centers on carpet cleaning where nylon bristles provide adequate wear resistance and stiffness for agitation without excessive fiber damage. When selecting this brush, ensure compatibility with your rotary machine’s mounting interface and confirm that the 17-inch diameter aligns with the cleaning head availability. Maintenance considerations are straightforward: inspect the bristles for wear and replace as needed to maintain effective agitation during scrubbing tasks.
