The OEL IT-12310 is a 10 mm socket designed for 1/2-inch drive applications, built to support insulated tool use in electrical environments. This standard socket is categorized under PPE and is positioned to help workers handle energized equipment with reduced risk, aligning with industry expectations for insulated hand tools.
Construction details emphasize electrical insulation capabilities with a rating that supports operation at 1,000 VAC and up to 1,500 VDC maximum exposure, while also meeting recognized standards for insulated hand tools. The tool is described as impact resistant and flame retardant, contributing to durability in environments where incidental contact with live circuits or heat is possible. The product is manufactured in the USA and is offered with a lifetime warranty, signaling confidence in its performance and longevity under typical use conditions.
Practical use considerations include compatibility with standard 1/2-inch drive ratchets and sockets, and the 10 mm size indicating its suitability for corresponding fasteners. The package is specified as each, making it straightforward to stock or reorder. Given its insulation and listed standards, it is appropriate for tasks requiring insulated hand tools in electrical, substation, or maintenance contexts, while users should ensure that their specific application aligns with the stated electrical ratings and compliance references.
