Tiger Melt Snow and Ice Melter is a 50 lb white salt-based deicer designed to rapidly melt snow and ice on driveways, parking areas, steps, porches, and other walkways. The product is suitable for pre-wetting or pre-application to help reduce ice formation on surfaces and to improve traction when vehicles are stuck. It flows freely through commercial spreaders, enabling efficient distribution over large areas. The 50 lb pail packaging is sold palletized, with 42 pails per pallet, which supports bulk purchasing for facilities with extensive cold-weather needs.
The formulation includes sodium chloride and potassium chloride, which are common deicers chosen for their ice-melting performance and compatibility with typical concrete substrates. The product is described as odorless and designed to minimize staining of carpets and damage to vegetation, contributing to practical use in varied environments where accidental tracking or exposure to landscaped areas might occur. The pail-friendly design aids handling and staging in facilities or maintenance operations. Packaging specifics and pre-application considerations are relevant for planning inventory, storage, and application workflows, particularly in larger sites that rely on bulk supply chains.
Users should consider the operational needs, including appropriate spreading methods, timing of application (such as pre-talling or pre-wetting), and the potential impacts on vegetation and carpets in sensitive areas. While the product is provided as a bulk pallet option, individual facility requirements will determine how many pails are needed and how best to store and deploy the material during winter weather events.
