Morton FLOMRS50-BAG Safe-T-Salt, 50 lb Bag

Morton Safe-T-Salt 50 lb Bag is a rock salt deicer designed to melt ice and snow on driveways, parking lots, steps, porches, and other walkways while also providing traction to help reduce slip hazards. This bagged an ice-melt product is intended for pre-winter spread to inhibit ice formation on surfaces, and it can be spread under vehicle tires to improve traction when vehicles are stuck on ice or snow. The product is supplied in a 50 lb bag, making it suitable for mid- to large-scale applications and easier handling with standard commercial spreaders.

Constructed as a sodium chloride-based ice melt, the Morton Safe-T-Salt formulation is described as having a melting capacity effective down to -6°F, which helps determine performance under cold conditions typical of winter weather. The product’s loose-flowing granules are designed to feed through common commercial spreaders, supporting efficient coverage over sidewalks, entrances, and other walkways. The packaging details indicate a single 50 lb bag per unit, with pallets commonly configured for bulk deployment in larger facilities.

Practical use considerations include pre-treating surfaces before snowfall to mitigate ice bonding, and applying as needed to maintain traction in icy areas. While this description references standard usage scenarios and performance claims, verify current shipping quotes and confirm local regulations or facility guidelines for salting procedures. The product is categorized under janitorial supplies and is supplied with the manufacturer part number FLOMRS50-BAG for easy cataloging and reordering.
