The PIP 396-405 EZ-Cool Evaporative Cooling Hard Hat Pad with Neck Shade Blue is an add-on cooling accessory designed to attach securely inside compatible hard hats. It uses a polyester and cotton blend fabric with cooling crystals at the crown to provide evaporative cooling while offering neck shade protection from the sun, supporting workers in hot environments who need relief from heat exposure without removing their headgear. The product is sized as a single unit and is intended to be attached through a hook-and-loop closure, ensuring a flexible fit that can be removed for maintenance or replacement.
Construction and features emphasize a simple integration with existing PPE. The neck shade design helps shield the back of the neck from direct sunlight, which can reduce heat buildup during outdoor tasks or in sun-exposed indoor settings. The cooling crystals embedded within the crown are the active element for evaporative cooling, which requires dampening to activate and can be recharged as needed to extend use during shifts. The package specifies a single unit per item, with a case quantity of 100 when purchased for bulk stocking, making it suitable for teams or facilities that purchase PPE in larger lots.
Usage considerations include securing the pad inside a compatible hard hat and ensuring proper fit so that the shade remains effective and does not interfere with helmet safety features. For practical maintenance, refer to the included spec sheet for any care or replacement guidance. This item is listed with blue color and is categorized under EZ-Cool, with a hook-and-loop closure and a standard packaging size of Each. The product is supplied by PIP and carries the manufacturer part number 396-405-BLU.
