Cordova 8228ARC Driver, Cowhide, Premium, Cut Resistant Glove, A4

The Cordova 8228ARC Driver is a premium-grade leather glove designed for demanding hand protection with both cut resistance and arc-flash safety features. Built on a grain cowhide leather shell, it combines durability and abrasion resistance with a stitched construction that emphasizes strength. The glove is designed to meet higher cut resistance while still allowing dexterity for driving tasks and other precision work that benefits from a secure, snug fit.

Key details include an Aramid/Synthetic fiber machine-knit lining and Aramid stitching to reinforce seam integrity and enhance cut resistance. Protective back-of-hand coverage is provided by thermo-plastic rubber (TPR) guards, and a shirred elastic back helps ensure a good, adaptable fit. The keystone thumb design offers improved mobility and control for tasks requiring fine motor movements while maintaining palm protection. The glove carries ANSI Cut Level A4, indicating a higher level of cut resistance, and it is specified for Arc Flash protection (Arc Flash/HRC 4) with an ATPV rating of 53 cal/cm2, making it suitable for environments where arc hazards are present in addition to cut risks.

Practical use for this glove includes settings where both cut resistance and arc-rated protection are required, such as certain metalworking, electrical, or heavy fabrication tasks where leather durability and protective features can make a meaningful difference. It is packaged in dozen-sized lots with a case quantity of six dozen, aligning with industrial purchasing and stocking needs. The Cordova part number 8228ARC should be used when ordering, and users should follow standard glove sizing and care practices to maintain fit and protective capabilities over time.
