Cordova 6897 COR-TOUCH FOAM PLUS, Nitrile, Foam

The Cordova COR-TOUCH FOAM PLUS glove combines a 13-gauge black nylon shell with a black foam nitrile/PU palm coating, delivering a durable hand protection option for light oil gripping tasks. The foam nitrile coating is porous, designed to channel oil away from the surface to help maintain a secure grip in light-oil environments, while the polyurethane component adds a comfortable, flexible layer at the palm. The glove is compatible with Cordova’s COR-TOUCH line and carries a CE/EN 388: 4121 certification, reflecting cut, abrasion, and puncture performance within the stated standard.

Construction highlights include a machine-knit 13-gauge nylon shell for dexterity and breathability, paired with a three-quarter palm coating of foam nitrile and PU to balance grip, tactile sense, and abrasion resistance. The sandy finish on the palm may contribute to additional grip characteristics. This style is designed for tasks requiring good fingertip sensitivity alongside reliable protection against light oils and common contact hazards, making it suitable for assembly, handling, and general maintenance work where dry-to-lightly-oily surfaces are encountered.

Practical considerations include the need to select the correct size for fit and comfort, as sizing directly affects tactile feedback and grip performance. The gloves are sold in cases of 12 dozen, with each package containing a dozen gloves, which is useful for stocking fleets or shop inventories. As with all coated gloves, users should assess compatibility with specific chemicals and surfaces in their workflow and replace protective gear when signs of wear appear to maintain consistent performance.
